All you need is a computer and modem with Internet access. We provide simple instructions for your virtual learning environment. You choose the time and place to "attend" class. A course can be accessed from any location . Whether from work or home, you simply do the course work electronically at your own convenience.


You can access coursework anytime 24 hours a day. Most of the continuing education courses contain 6 lessons of approximately 40 minutes each. You may choose to complete a course immediately or take up to 90 days.
All of the AMHSEC courses contain 6 lessons with test components in most. It is necessary to complete all testing for verification purposes.
Some courses do not have a test component but instead ask the enrollee to write a short course critique upon completion.


Each available course earns 4 CEUs upon successful completion.
Upon course completion you will have 2 forms to submit. The first is a Course Evaluation form, which contains instructions for submission (by email, fax or regular mail). You will also be asked to submit by email the AMHSEC CEU Request Form.
A certificate will be mailed to you within a few days of course completion. This certificate will note the AMHSEC approval by ASWB Your notification of completion which, you automatically receive upon submission of the CEU Request Form will serve as your temporary documentation.
NASW-NYS CERP ENROLEES- If you require an additional certificate of course completion from the chapter, this option is noted on the CEU Request Form. We will automatically notify them as we receive the information.


You may register either on-line using a Visa or Mastercard or off-line by using the form provided. Simple instructions will guide you through either option.


The base cost per course is $70 for the individual enrollee. Individuals who are members of NASW receive a $10 discount per course. Some courses are longer in duration, will be slightly higher in cost and earn more CEU's.
